depledge and rerush?

by:

I accepted a bid from a sorority and have been going through pledging. As I meet more and more girls in the house, I am really not feeling a fit.
If I depledge before I initiate, will I be able to rush again next Fall? Will I be “blackballed” by all of the other sororities because I dropped out of Pledging? I really want to be part of Greek Life. I am just not loving this sorority.

It depends on which group your in, if you’re in a group that is considered “lower tier” and you drop you don’t have a good chance of getting a different house next year. People assume you dropped because of aesthetics. If you had a lot of options during recruitment and just made a bad choice during pref then you have a better chance, but it will definitely hurt you. Y’all to whoever is your pledge advisor and really discuss your issues, they can help you find girls who are more similar to you who you may click with more.

Sucker. Once they got you hooked, they will not give you real advice. They want to keep you. You can quit or you can be a distant sorority member.
"Just give the girls a shot, you can drop out later."
It's fake advice.

If you're not feeling it then you should rush again. When you go through rush again think about finding a sisterhood who will be a great fit and support you. Don't worry about reputations cause, in the end, it's all about finding a great sisterhood.
