how much does it matter?
by: PNMPretty much everyone agrees on the top houses and that Tri Sig is the very bottom. But how much does it matter with all the rest? They seem to move around every ranking based on their members making fake rankings. Are houses that will actually get you made fun of every where you go and that actually keep people from associating with you or is all of this so people’s moms can brag back in their home town?

This whole tiers nonsense really doesn’t matter. Like honestly people who need to reaffirm their tier are just self conscious. What’s most important is that you feel at home and happy because at the end of the day this is where you’ll be spending 4 years of your life (plus the fact that you’re giving a large chunk of change to this organization). If you’re choosing a group based on how that’s going to help your social life, reevaluate. You’re wasting your time and money with that mindset.

Tiers are a jooooke. I have an older sister who is an alum now and she thinks it’s so funny that girls care at all. She was a DDD, one of her sisters in DDD dated a PiKapp and she had a friend in KKG who dated a Phi Gam. She knew girls in APhi, AXO, Phi Mu, etc. who got more wristbands to parties than other “top tier” girls did. People also change sooo much during the course of college so what house you go really has no bearing on how people view you. It also doesn’t make a difference AT ALL after you graduate. Nobody is going to give you preferential treatment because you were top tier, middle tier, bottom tier, etc.
Girls who even care about tiers are the ones who peak freshman year. End of story.
