what actually was the pi phi hazing scandal?

I am a PNM rushing this year and I feel like it's my right to know whether or not I will be hazed joining pi phi... hazing is the only reason I am on this website because I don't want to be in a sisterhood like that. Idk the story so did pi phi actually haze???

Good Lord. This is complete BS. Pi Phi didn’t do anything that other houses don’t do ROUTINELY. They just had a pledge whine to her mother and her mother was a helicopter mom. Chi O is WAY worse, and so is Tri Delt. Get a life, people.

after a thorough investigation, it was proven that pi phi did NOT haze and never received any type of punishment from panhel or the university. the new member's parent who reported the hazing did not have the full story and the new member is still a part of pi phi if that tells you anything.
