age on sorority

Most girls rush as freshmen (~18 years old) or sophomores (~19 years old). A very small amount of juniors rush, typically transfer students or something. So I guess average age is anywhere in the 18-22 range depending on the grade. I haven't run into anyone older than that general age range going through rush or in sororities already.

I hate to say a certain age is too old but I do imagine that if 19/20/21 year old girls are rushing someone who is multiple years older it might be a little weird or uncomfortable. It would also be very difficult for someone who is older to get to know their pledge class since it would consist almost entirely of 18/19 year olds and that is who you would spend a ton of your time with for at least the first couple of months when it comes to the sorority.
