withdrew

hi.
i withdrew myself from rush during house tours yesterday. ever since i've been really sad and down on myself and really don't want to be here anymore. does anyone have any tips? is rushing as a sophomore better?

Thats too bad that you dropped out of rush.
Didn't you still have houses that wanted you?
Rush isn't about making every house love you, it's about finding the one house that does.
I guess one thing that might help you feel more condifent is that a lot of the houses have girls selected that they know they want to offer bids to before rush starts. It's not like you were deemed to be objectively "worse" than every other girl here in a fair contest.

Hey I totally get where you're coming from because I withdrew from rush my freshman year. However, rushing as a sophomore won't necessarily be any easier because houses often only take girls that are close friends with current actives. I rushed again sophomore year, and all the houses that cut me freshman year cut me again the second time. Also if you join as a sophomore you generally are closer with girls in your pledge class rather than girls in your academic year which can be tough sometimes.
So many girls have dropped this year, so know that you're not the only one feeling this way. If you end up regretting your decision in dropping and end up wanting to join a sorority, I highly recommend reaching out to your Gamma Chi and seeing if any houses are looking for COB's. I really wish I had done this after rush my freshman year because then I would have gotten to spend another year with a house and girls I love!

No it isn't. It's much much worse! She can expect to be asked back by even fewer houses. Spoiled brat blew her best chance of being in a sorority by having a tantrum and dropping out!
