sigma chi
by: FreshmanMy Dad was a Sigma Chi and really wants me to rush this house. I can't really get a feel for how the house is seen on campus. The guys are nice and it seems like they're planning on updating their house. But what is their reputation? I can't seem to get a straight answer.

Yep. Back in the late 80's. I'm not feeling it though. Someone said to "join and make them better". That's a tall order for a freshman. Shouldn't the existing brothers be doing that? They seem a little desperate honestly.

I have alot of friends in Sigma Chi and like all of them and I spent alot of time at their house my first few years of college.
Everyone lies during rush and house upgrades are among the most common lies.
The brotherhood is the most important thing in a fraternity - you could be at the best party of your life but if you dont like the people surrounding you, youre probably not gonna have any fun.
The best advice I can give you is to rush around, even wait until the spring or sophomore year if needed and find a place that you fit in. If its not Sig Chi, your dad will understand.
