bids

How hard is it to get a bid? Does everyone end up getting a bid from some place?

Probably but that's not really the right way to go into it. There are definitely going to be some places where, personally, you don't want a bid and some places where you really want a bid. If you don't really like the fraternity you get a bid too (if you only get one) it may not be worth it to join. Pledging and paying dues for something you don't really like isn't going to be worth it.
