real sorority rankings

All of them have great reputations in their own right. As you'll see on this site most Panhel women have prided themeselves in recent months on not taking part in rankings or talking badly about other sororities. Each house is unique and is the right place for some, so all you need to do is go in with an open mind, trust the process, and you'll find where you're supposed to be.

I'll be honest, it's very hard to rank our sororities because they're all incredible in different ways. So instead of ranking them, I'll point out the houses that really shine in certain areas.
Outstanding academics: KD/AXO/ADPi/XO
Outstanding social life: DDD/ADPi/APhi/ZTA/Phi Mu
(this is mostly who I feel has the most "presence" at parties)
Outstanding sisterhood: Pi Phi/Phi Mu/SSS/AXO/KKG
Outstanding Greek/campus involvement: KD/Pi Phi/AXO/APhi
Outstanding philanthropy events: ZTA/KD/Pi Phi/ADPi
Outstanding physical houses (this is totally biased, just my opinion!!): XO/KD/KKG
Outstanding national presence: XO/KKG/Pi Phi/DDD/APhi

I was holding my breath when I saw this question and that it had four answers, but my fellow Tar Heels do NOT disappoint! I'm so proud to be part of a Greek community that can rise above the pettiness of other schools. Every house at UNC is amazing and every girl going through recruitment can find their niche if they go through with an open mind. It's just another day that I'm so thankful to be a Tar Heel!!
