how hard to get a bid from big 4?

How hard is it to get a bid from one of those frats if you don't know a lot of people? Like say only a few brothers.

You're not going to know every brother. Usually the guys you know will introduce and hopefully you get invited out to chill, but mostly it's the guys you know that will vouch for you.

What about if you're from out of state and do not have many connections how hard is it to rush?

It's not hard to rush as an OOS student. As soon as you get to Chapel Hill, start going to frat houses for their parties and try to meet some brothers. Ask to meet their rush chairman. Once formal rush starts, you have to be invited, so going before that is crucial. You can register for frat rush on the IFCUNC website but I'm not sure if registration is open yet.
