future rush

I'm going to UNC next year and would like to rush a sorority...but have no connection to the school/don't know anything about any of the sororities (is that going to work against me? I'm the first person from my HS to go to UNC in ~10 years) and am looking for a brief overview of the sororities and what kind of girls they "attract"/look for?! My mom was a DG at Wisconsin, but obviously that won't be a factor at UNC...

You're actually in the best position possible for sorority rush. You don't have any preconceived ideas. Keep your mind open. All of our houses are amazing. You'd be lucky to get a bid from any one of them.
