So Chandler's trial starts tomorrow. I can't imagine how he's feeling right now. I almost feel a little sorry for him, because if we're honest - a lot of us have idiotically driven drunk. But for us, the stars were in alignment or something and we didn't kill three innocent people. I'm also wondering if Sig Ep will ever acknowledge their role in this tragedy. They should have made some kind of statement in my opinion.

The trial is going to bring a lot of bad attention to fraternities and students in general. SigEp should already have been gone. That's how you limit damage.

Assistant District Attorney Jeff Nieman asked the jury to pay attention to evidence that is “clearly above and beyond driving while impaired.”

“You will hear that while there were people who are tending to the 9-year-old girl on the ground, wailing in pain, her mother, her mother’s best friend and her niece dead in the car, that this man wouldn’t stop honking his horn, cursing at the first responders, telling them to hurry up and help him,” Nieman said.

He was in my Freshman Seminar. I thought he was a nice enough guy. So hard to believe that his life is essentially over. He won't be treated well in prison. Especially for killing a little girl.

Why isn't Kania already behind bars? He already is found guilty of four felonies counts:

.Three counts of felony death by motor vehicle
.Felony charge of causing serious injury
.Felony driving while impaired
