How does Beta get away with treating their pledges so badly? It's mind-boggling. How does that help them "bond" and become brothers?

What are they doing? I've always heard rumors but didn't know whether they were true.

It's the same reason they still get away with cutting all the minorities who rush them. They have rich alumni and influence with the IFC. Even if they get caught red-handed they'll just get a slap on the wrist.

If someone spoke up, the same thing might happen to them as what happened to Sigma Nu. They haven't recovered from their probation and possibly never will.

SigEp showed that you can kill people and still remain recognized by UNC. The bar is set that low.

Not sure if it's better for SigEp for Kania to strike a plea deal where he tells everything or if he goes to trial.

The trial is going to bring a lot of bad attention to fraternities and students in general. SigEp should already have been gone. That's how you limit damage.
