by: M&MIs SigEp rushing guys this Fall? I know there haven't been any official lawsuits or anything (yet). I''m just wondering if any guys are actually looking at that house to pledge

It's probably not a good idea to join a fraternity that is dealing with so many issues and so much uncertainty right now. That said, if you did join and the chapter closed before you were initiated, you would be free to join another chapter. Whether they would offer you a bid or not, I can't say. Fraternities do tend to be more relaxed about members dropping and pledging another chapter (I even know a guy who got released after he was initiated and joined another chapter), but I wouldn't recommend accepting a bid unless you REALLY LOVE SigEp for whatever reason and are willing to deal with all the stress and scrutiny that will come with being a member.

SigEp formally initiates, on paper at least, as soon as you accept your bid. That's how the Balanced Man Program works. So you wouldn't be allowed to join the chapter of another national fraternity. I guess if being in a fraternity was really important, you could transfer to another school with a SigEp chapter.

Maybe he comes back to recolonize SigEp when he gets out of prison in 2042 or whatever. He could be the pledge trainer. Guy is going to be ripped.
