not sure
by: Sad PNMRecruitment was such a negative experience for me that I'm thinking about transferring. I feel embarrassed and confused because I don't even know what I did to be cut by so many houses. I had some extenuating circumstances, but I'm just so hurt that these houses couldn't take a chance on me. I'm not sure what to do.

Not to be rude but it's not like you're the only one feeling this way. Nearly everyone in Greek life has at some point felt as bad as you do- but they stuck with it and they bonded with the girls that were able to see and appreciate their value.
This is the worst part of Greek life, if you can make it to bid day you will feel the reward of your patience

No i know exactly what your saying. But the sorority part of UNC isn't all of UNC. Just because you didn't feel accepted by the sororities doesn't mean you won't be accepted in other places at Carolina. I rushed as a sophomore this year and ended up dropping because I didn't have any houses left that I felt comfortable in and its such a terrible feeling. It's hard to understand why you don't get to experience all of the fun that these other girls get. I was really looking forward to the community from a sorority, but that doesn't mean that's the only community I have/will have. I still have a lot of friends, none of which have every done formal rush, although some participate in other things like the multicultural sorority and the service frat. And to the other commenters- if someone is new to the university and they are going through a process where people are rejecting them who are you to say they're lying about wanting to leave. You can't always just make it to bid day because sometimes you aren't left with any more options.
I definitely feel your pain but know that this doesn't define you, and it doesn't mean that you don't have traits that sorority girls have. There are still opportunities to fit in its just hard to see that right now.

What are you confused about?
If you know someone in a top house or you dirty rush you can get in
If you don't then you can't (usually)
It's not rocket science people. Don't let it affect your self worth bc it's rarely based on that. It's a shame you dropped out but TBH if you were rushing for social status then you were in it for the wrong reasons anyways

This was really nice, thanks. I did end up running out of options. It's a shame, but I guess this just wasn't meant for me.
