how important are sorority letters of recommendati

IF you're in a sorority, please say the name and how important they are to you. Does it matter what school the alumna is from? Does it matter when they graduated or if they're still in the sorority? Can my friend who's in a sorority write one? I know you have to do it from the national website. Does the tier of the school matter? How many letters per sorority are good, like 2? Like 2 letters from 2 different XO alumns for example. Do letter even help? Thanks!

You aren't going to get the info you're looking for here. Contact the Panhellenic office. They have that info.

I feel like they're going to give me the "not required but recommended" spiel they say to not actually say how important they are.

Hey! I am not sure how much they matter, but honestly I don't think they really matter here. When I rushed, I got cut after the first round for some of the houses I had letters to.

I also got cut places I had rec letters. But I didn't really feel tied to those houses so it wasn't a huge deal. I ended up somewhere I'm very happy. Go through with an open mind and you'll end up happy.

I'm not sure how much they help you. I had letters to 4 houses, and I was cut from 3 of those houses after the first round. I ended up preffing the 4th house and another house, listed the non-rec house as my first choice, and got a bid from my 1st choice.
