Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority Ratings at UM

Kind and real girls. They seem to have had a rough year but it looks as if it has strengthened their sisterhood. Glad to have them on campus. Rooting for you guys.

When I first meet Chi Os honestly they weren’t my fav but they have grown on me over time, they actually have some really sweet girls in there chapter, and I know they seem to have had a rough year but everyone does from time to time so give them a break.

Chi O is strange. One minute they will seem very Christian and the next you are being judged for anything and everything. THIS is why they struggle keeping girls in their organization. The older group of girls did a great job turning this sorority around, but the younger group is what is killing it. They are the type that thinks they are better than everyone but everyone else thinks the opposite of them.

Before you go reading the low tier comments, just know that every chapter has its struggles, and every chapter has its highlights. It isn’t my business to talk about their grades or their sisterhood; however, I will say that every chapter has, at some point, had an issue with grades. Same with numbers. Just because numbers are ‘slipping’, doesn’t mean that their sisterhood is bad. Sometimes, life happens. Circumstances change. I have some friends in this sorority, and they are the kindest, most genuine women I have ever met. Super welcoming. One of this chapter’s strongest qualities, in my opinion, is how hardworking they are. I’m not sure how much they are involved on campus, but many of their members are involved with organizations off campus, some even giving up theirs summers to go to other countries to serve and love people. They always try and participate in philanthropies, some have been involved with SGA, and they are involved with college night every year. In the past, it seemed as though they kept more to themselves, but over the years, I’ve noticed their chapter branch out a lot. Their members seem to care very much for their philanthropy, and it shows through their actions (their philanthropy is Make-A-Wish, and it seems like they are frequently involved in meeting the kids and welcoming them and stuff). As I said before, each chapter has its low points, but I will say that every Chi O I’ve seen seems very passionate about their sisterhood. I mean, let’s face it: at the end of the day, there will be drama and cliques will probably happen. You’re talking about a group of 30-50 girls that associate with one another. It is highly unlikely for all of them to be best friends, so why put that expectation on them? The Chi Omegas I have met over the years have been strong, loving, funny, smart, passionate, kind, and such a joy to be around. You go, ladies!!!!

I love Chi Omega women! They are diverse, authentic and incredible leaders. I know some of them very well and they always make me feel like I’m on top of the world! They really give 100 % to everything they do. (Y’all killed it at Step show) I love these gals! You’re lucky to have one of these girls in your life.

Chi Omega is a fantastic organization on our campus. Their members are intelligent, driven, and dedicated. They work incredibly hard, no matter the task, and that's something I always admired about them. I always enjoyed competing with them in dance-oriented events, because they always always always brought their A-game, and I was always excited to see what they had prepared. I made great friends that were part of this organization throughout my years on campus that are passionate, hard-working, funny, and kind. They had some amazing older members to look up to this past year (yea pc15), and I know the younger members will continue to uphold everything that they are. Have a great recruitment this year ladies, and thanks for all the memories!

I've got to hand it Chi Omega for their performance at the Zeta Phi Beta step show. They KILLED it! Their formations, choreography, and transitions were amazing. One of their recent alums started her own ministry in Uganda which is downright amazing. She does incredible work both in her ministry and in classes. She's a role model for me and for many others. That girl KNOWS her COMS stuff. I will forever appreciate her taking the time to help me study for hours on end in the library. Another one of their members was the lead in the Gold Side show this year as a freshman. That girl is so talented it's insane! She was also in Carrie as a main role and did a phenomenal job there too. Their current President is a freshman. Coming from a prez of another chapter, I know how challenging yet rewarding it can be. From the outside looking in, it looks like she is doing a great job! Serious props to her for taking on that role so early in her Greek and college career. There are many others that I could talk about for real. We had a mixer with them last semester and it was so fun. They were all so nice to talk to! -Julia Davis-Delta Gamma

Every Chi O I know is so smart and driven! These girls have amazing life goals and their sisterhood is super strong. There are some great leaders!

I'm sure it's not at all the girls fault, but their 2019 president is a Freshman, who was elected literally like a week after she got initiated. It speaks volumes to the problems going on within the sorority that they had to have a freshman step up to the plate since none of the older girls were apparently capable of it. Heads up if you're going through recruitment that they're known for playing the "most Christian on campus" card, but don't be fooled - if you're wanting the "most genuinely christian", go Phi Mu, and if you're wanting the most religiously diverse/accepting, go ADPi.
