Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority Ratings at UCO

Sorority ranking, lovely ladies, kind, fun and smart. Definitely a top sorority at the University of Central Oklahoma

I'm a sophomore in college and don't belong to any Greek life organization, but I've attended various parties and social events. While these experiences don't necessarily determine who's the best, they give me some insight into the different chapters. Alpha Gamma Delta seems to be the messiest sorority out of the others. Despite having the newest house, there are always rumors about it potentially closing every semester. I've even heard that members are paying over $900 a month without living in the house, which I find surprising—if I were in a sorority, I'd definitely want to live in the house! I consider myself a regular at parties, but I've never seen an Alpha Gam at any of them. It's hard for me to connect with them, especially when I hear they drop many members each semester for not maintaining a 3.0 GPA. There was also a rumor last year after formal recruitment that some members took new girls out for drinks, took pictures of them, and got them all dropped. Which sounds heartbreaking. I can't imagine how excited those girls were to join what they thought was a "top house." One positive thing I can say is that Alpha Gam is known for being highly involved on campus and prioritizing academics. If you're looking for a group that values those qualities, this might be a good fit for you. However, it's also rumored that they gossip about everyone, which you can apparently hear from anywhere in the stairwell. Also, just from personal experience in playing intermural with them I can tell you that the girls sometimes have nasty attitudes and they seem to argue with each other.

Idk how they’re not ranked 1st because everyone knows it, but here’s their pros/cons: -pros: stunning house that is massive compared to every other Greek house. Typically has the biggest numbers, and does a pretty good job at keeping their members 3-4 years. Has high expectations towards GPA, involvement, including extra involvement in other organizations such as PLC. Very competitive, and lastly they have a tight sisterhood. -cons: expensive…unfortunate ly not their fault because rush numbers aren’t as high as they used to be so those out of bed fees are high!! Their fines are also hefty because they have high expectations of involvement/ participation. But honestly, they only look for girls who have been super involved in HS so it shouldn’t be an issue if you WANT to be there! Lastly, some of them give off “mean girl” or are critics of the other houses. But find the right group and you’ll avoid that.

I think Alpha Gam is the top house on campus.. for now. They are the definition of a legacy house- they have been a top house for a long time so people just assume they have that glory. They have a very big house, but there are rumors that they are having trouble keeping up with payments allegedly. The girls are very pretty and involved quite a bit, but they are not as friendly to others. They have been stagnant for a while as a group, and with the lack of diversity, along with their refusal to truly be “fun”, i think they have lost that elitism that they think they still have. Future of Gam? Still heavily on the rocks. With times changing, and greek life at UCO’s decline, they can quickly go from top house to has beens. pros: legacy of top house glory, great networking within the uco community cons: not very diverse, seemingly mean, and not well known nationally as an organization

they are a top house on campus but they get it by being low key mean to the other houses which i think is low class. mean girls disguised as nice ones and i think their true colors come out during recruitment when im in class and hearing the mean things they say about others

Alpha gam is the way to go! Don’t listen to these comments. They are clearly from the jealous sig kaps. As an outsider, this house offers everything you could want in a sorority. Go Gam!

Some are nice, but some just seem really fake. So many of my friends were made to feel so special and valued by Gam, and then dropped after round 1. It's really sad that they were willing to cut so many amazing girls, but also make them feel like they'd be coming back the next day. They also met with a ton of girls before hand, and definitely toed the line when it came to dirty rushing.

I've met some great Gams, but there are others that are so difficult to talk to. It felt really superficial during recruitment and I also felt a little manipulated. They used the things that I had talked about in previous days to give me a very specific girl during pref. I know that it happens all the time, but it made me feel used. Other girls I talked to were really sweet and nice. The recruitment process is just kind of weird in general I guess.

Gam is very nice. They can seem a little stuck up at times. I’ve never had a issue with them, but if you go through recruitment, really analyze the sorority for the people, not for the house. That’s all I’ll say. If they’re still your top choice for the people, that’s awesome!! Just don’t choose to be there because they have a cool house, because then youre stuck with people you don’t fit in with for 4 years.

Although there’s a big pretty house and more members, nobody has made pc 21 feel “at home”. This year has been really disappointing. Prepare to feel left out all the time
