tri sig is awful. there’s so many problems, it’s hard to tell where to start. they lie every year about how much it actually costs to join by a couple hundred bucks. they say they have tons of members, but this year there were literally only two girls at recruitment, and at bid day most of the girls there had already graduated out. they are so mean to you if you don’t fit in perfectly. not only will they bully you for how you look, but they will make sure you never get elected for positions. everyone talks behind each other’s backs. one year a bunch of them got drunk at homecoming and they all deliberately puked on an ex’s car. classy? no way. also they do this weird “ritual” during rush where they whisper in your ear in a dark room. suuuuuper creepy. tri sig is really big in the lower 48, but this is the worst chapter of them all. i would rather have not joined a sorority then join them.

I didn't even know Greek rank was a thing until I googled UAA Tri Sigma. I just went through recruitment and I love Tri Sigma and all it stands for. I never thought sorority life was for me, but the group of women in Tri Sigma at UAA are the most genuine, fun people I have ever met. I've never felt so comfortable around a large group of people I didn't know.

Some of the girls are nice, but honestly there is a lot of pettiness within this chapter. It really turned me off from even wanting to be around any of them.

Tri Sig is full of whiny girls who will take offense to everything. Besides trying to control greek life for everyone on campus, they often lie and cheat to admins in order to get their way. There's a reason why they've barely been able to make their national quota for the chapter requirement of girls. Nobody wants to stay around in an organization like that.

Tri Sigma is truly a group of wonderful, intelligent, sweet women. Very involved on campus and in the community. Sigma Sigma Sigma is a national sorority, which in turn means opportunities for a strong connection while you're in school and offers other doors that could be opened beyond that.

I wish there was something nice to say about Tri Sig at UAA, but there’s not. They consistently harassed and bullied until I quit. Even the advisors, who say they’re there to help, always take the side of whichever girl they feel is the most popular. If you’re thinking of joining a sorority, I’d steer clear of Tri Sigma if you want your mental health to survive college.
