when you are running in a competitive race or swimming or doing anything competitively, the person that comes in last is still fast and also still a loser. Have a little more dignity for yourself . I am thinking you must be a house that is on the bottom. Just because you are the one that does not have high enough expectations for your own house, don't disparage those that do. Anyone with a brain wants to be on top in anything they do not on the bottom. I know that most winners strive to come in 1st! Hopefully that's what you are doing this semester. You wouldn't be so defensive if yours was not one of the lower houses.

Almost all these houses are below average engineering GPA (~3.1) and the average engineer will get a job over a liberal arts degree. GPA matters but each program inflates/deflates GPA differently. This ranking is no better than a social tier ranking.
Let me explain.
Statistically, people who are more personable and more attractive get hired more often than people who are not. If we think this higher GPA is more important because it is more indicative to who will get better jobs and be more successful in life we should also consider the social rankings just as equally if not more (one study found that its 20% what you say and 80% how you say it, so social people already have the advantage in the 80%)
Moral of the story, this ranking along with social, attractiveness, etc, are all irrelevant. No house is going to make you happy or successful. That is something you need to find in yourself.
