Grades should really hold more weight in the ranking of houses. It does in every other school and just gives our greek system less credibility, sorry DG.

Maybe that happens in the middle houses but some of the houses with the best grades have girls that are in engineering and science, so what you're saying isn't really true.

I'm not a chick/in a sorority, but I can tell you that this does make a difference. Same applies to fraternities, actually

That sounds like it would be right, but actually it isn't. The houses with the highest grades have girls in hard majors that are going to medical school, law school, and business school for MBAs. That's why they have such good networking too.

I'd just like to point out that every single house is above the average undergraduate GPA, it's not like there are houses with huge numbers of girls failing out. Some houses below average Panhellenic GPA aren't below by a ridiculous amount. When you take an average of something, there are naturally going to be houses above and below the average. All houses should strive to raise their average GPA just by nature of being organizations that aim to advance women, but none of the women in any of the houses below average are idiots and shouldn't be called out as such.

You realize that a LOT of the houses drop girls based off of their major during formal recruitment just so they can maintain their "high" GPA? So basically if you're engineering or premed or any science major they'll drop you unless you're super outgoing. I'm not saying they drop everyone who has a hard major, but they DEFINITELY take that into account.
