joining a new house

I am currently a Greek member at uiuc. I rushed my first semester and made a decision on a house way too quick. Greek life is huge here and it has been really hard for me to accept the status of the fraternity I joined. Not many people go out, and girls especially judge you for which house you're in. As shallow as that sounds, it is true. I was curious towards whether I can deactivate and join another fraternity, but I do know I took an oath for life. If anyone has any advice, please provide me with some! Thanks

Can definitely be done. Do it as soon as possible and join somewhere you belong.

You can deactivate in a second. It might get looked down upon a bit but if you're a cool kid the top houses will still want you.
