Most sororities don't care about how rich you are. I'm guessing that they just want to make sure that you can pay your dues. Girls going through recruitment are given a sheets of paper with all of the costs of each chapter. It's up to the girls to decide if they can afford it or not. I'm sure there are payment plans and such if need be.

the houses who care about money will ask the regular question "what did you do this summer" and they listen for girls who went on a nice vacation or something that involves a lot of money bc that means you have money. also they look at home towns. there are some towns known for being a rich area.

When I went through rush, almost every sorority asked me what I did over the summer (throughout all rounds) so get ready for that question. But most of them probably weren't thinking about money when they asked me that, it's just a nice conversation topic I guess. One particular sorority (won't name which one) asked me what my mom did for a living..

Most sororities won't be as direct about it as the last one I mentioned, but I do feel like money is a kind of important factor to some.
