what is so special

Theta and Tridelt seem to always be #1 and #2 (on this site). What qualities make them outshine the rest or is there a lot of self ranking skewing the ranks?

Theta has a long history of success, traditionally best looking girls on campus from wealthy families, prominent on campus.

DG is similar to Theta over the long-term.

Tridelts - lots of selfranking combined with recent success in pledging low numbers of chubby girls and minorities. Long-term they are probably upper-middle.

I too always thought of Theta and DG as similar. Tridelts is still a toppish house, though
