letters of rec

If you have a letter of rec for a sorority does it help your chances at getting a bid or do the sororities not care? What if you have several letters of rec for one house?

I know for my house it guarantees that you get to first invite but idk about others. It does not guarantee you'll make it to second or get a bid.
