rerush

I rushed my freshman year and accepted a bid to a house but ended up depledging right before initiation because I really just did not feel like I fit in that house no matter how hard I tried to like it. I still really want to be in a sorority and am considering rushing again this fall. I'm assuming the vast majority of houses will drop me right away after finding out that I pledged another sorority and then depledged. I know people in other houses, I'll have some letters of rec, I'm involved in several different things on campus and have a good GPA. Should I bother going through recruitment again or should I not waste my time?

im not sure sororities really care if you joined a house and then dropped or if they even know. one of my sisters joined a house and dropped her freshman year and then joined our current house, so i don't think it'll hurt your chances tbh.

however, some houses follow the panhel gpa quite strictly so if you don't meet panhel gpa, which is like a 3.4, you're automatically cut. so if you're cut, don't automatically think its cause you joined another house your freshman year.

you seem really involved and have a good gpa so i think you'll be fine. good luck!
