phi kappa tau
by: New fraternityso phi kappa tau is back and are getting the house (owned by theta chi now) soon. Any opinions? Is it better than the other new fraternities - dke and pi lambda phi?

Phi Taus were a solid house back in the day. Not the most prominent, but def some cool guys. If they can round up alum support, they should be able to come back strong.
Don't know why DKE never took off here - seems like they are always in colony mode. Not sure why because they seem to be pretty prestigious at a number of other schools.

because betas had the fratcastle to begin with. The physical house beats everything for a pnm who has no idea of the fraternity

Phi kappa theta got there house right from the get go too and there house is also pretty nice. Both recolonized around the same time, but phi kappa theta has only 17 members while beta is nearing 100. There must be another factor other than the physical house otherwise phi kappa theta wouldnt be struggling so hard.

Is Phi Kappa Theta still a Catholic house? Maybe pnm's don't want to just be with there guys of their same religion....They were nice guys but never very prominent.
Regarding fratcastle - Pikes were one of the strongest even back in the day when they had an average house that was too small for them. So my point is you can be successful without a castle. Having a castle helps rush, but then you have to wonder how many guys join your "brotherhood" just to live in a nice building. (Not saying that to knock anyone with a nice house, just sayin)

pi lambda phi doesn't have a house. But are 40 guys and growing. A house is not necessarily needed
