check out the fraternity rankings according to the user reviews on this site (fraternities tab) sorted by rank. Obviously not the full story but taken in the aggregate it definitely says something. Interesting to see where the big name houses fall among the larger pack of 47 fraternities:

Top of pack:
1. pike
2. sig chi
3. sigep
5. phi delt

middle of pack:
20. sae
26. acacia

bottom of pack:

A refreshing take - much needed on here. ato coming in at an impressive #40 haha. I haven't even heard of the fraternities above them until you hit delts. They must've really pissed some people off

Kind Of crazy to think there are 40+ fraternities on our campus - aside from the same 10 everyone talks about most people have heard of the next 15 or so. That still leaves over 20 rarely heard of. What gives? Are these like 30 member houses?

Many are in the colony stage like pi lambda phi and delta kappa epsilon.

There are several in the infant stage, but there are even more that have lets say 35-70 guys, do their own thing, don't worry about being the most popular, and create great friendships. They are just not the most prominent, and lets face it people tend to talk about the most prominent houses.

#4 is not one of the main houses. Read closer and then take a lap
