block-ish
by: Changin it upEnough about rankings, lets talk football. I'm a freshman in a sorority (not saying which one, don't need any bs judgements), and I want to know why people who are in greek life don't at least try and go to the football games in the fall. Seriously, why don't we all just go to block, partake in our normal, Autumn, Saturday morning shenanigans, and then migrate to the football game? I know we suck, but we aren't unbearable to watch. If the team saw a bunch of drunk, excited student fans at their games, I think it would really get them pumped up. I want my sorority to make this a thing, but it would be much easier if I had help. Getting a ton of students at the game all walking from the bars would be a blast. Illinois is the best school in the world in my humble opinion, and we all can make this happen. Just throwing it out there. Stay golden.

I agree Illinois is the best school in the world.
But if the football team refuses to take the time and effort to be at least an average team, why should I waste valuable potential study time watching them lose? I don't expect a national champion, but how bout at least .500 in Big Ten games?

Yes but Michigan has a tradition of winning, so one bad year - oh well. Our guys - I honestly don't believe they give 100%, because they don't have to. They know we don't expect if of them, they have their school paid for and when they graduate they can get a good job in sales. It is not entitlement, it is refusing to reward poor performance. Your professor will not give you an A without effort, your boss will fire you for lack of effort. Same concept. And sense of entitlement is what the football players think they have just for putting on a uniform.
As far as studying/drinking, if you want to get drunk in the morning, your choice. Another alternative is get stuff done in the daytime, then rage all night.
