fraternities under the radar.
by: CuriousOut of curiosity what do people think of the fraternities that aren't spoken about often: AePi, Beta, Skulls, Theta Chi, Chi Psi, Farmhouse, Theta Xi, Sigma Pi, Sigma Phi Delta, Alpha Gamma Sigma, Zeta Psi, Triangle, Kappa Sigma, DKE, Pi Lambda Phi, ADPhi, TKE, OD, Delta Sigs. We have such a huge greek life, but it's the same 20 people everyone talks about. Not a thread for bashing, just legit opinions.

I guess I'll give my opinion first. I've seen OD at a number of bars, and they seem to be really social. I guess the reason they're less known is they're on Lincoln (pretty far from frat park). Feel free to speak about your own houses as well (or atleast how you view them).

A couple of their guys are my floormates, and they seem really chill. Can't speak for their other members though.

I'm in one of the smaller houses mentioned here. We're good guys, but we have miles to go. A lot of kids we rush end up going for the more well-known houses and the ones that stay are the ones that genuinely want to be there, which is a good thing. I like the close-knit feeling but because we're so unknown it's hard to land exchanges, recruits, and pretty much anything else that comes easier for a big house

Hey man we're on the same boat! I'm also in one of the aforementioned houses here. Yeh a lot of people that rush end up going for big houses partially because of the name. I definitely think we also have tons of space to improve, but I feel like a number of people disregard us because we have only about 40 members.

skulls lost their house to alpha xi delta sorority. It's never been the same for them since. Membership down to 20's

I hope they survive. They might not be very big or popular, but they have been around forever and are part of the fabric of our university.

I really enjoy hanging out around the smaller frats than the bigger ones. They have just as much fun as the bigger frats and aren't such douchebags. My favorites are Theta Xi, Psi U, and Delta Sigs. I know Theta Xi isn't small but they aren't as popular as frats of their size.

On that same note, we were just curious on if any fraternities would be interested in hanging out/some sort of party in conjunction with another house.

I doubt they don't have a social calendar lol. I wanted to rush there, but honestly I found where I belonged really quickly so I didn't even bother lol.

The beta house isn't very nice on the inside from what I have seen though. Also on a side note to original post, Triangle throws really good parties judging from the 2 I've been at

I actually like Kappa Sigma's house, but I'd have to agree Theta Chi's house does look a little worn down. Delta Sigs have a really nice too, not sure why they aren't as popular. And ever since Chi Psi put their letters up, people have realized it's actually a fraternity lol (so good on them!)

Sigma Nu has a beautiful house and seems to be steadily improving?
What happened to them anyway? I hear they were a great house back in the day?

Rushed Sig Nu, their house is a little packed, but still really nice on the inside.
