Thoughts on the new fraternity Pi lambda phi? Guys seem chill but they don't have a legit house. Opinions?

Beta seemed like they colonized better, especially given this is the first I've heard of these guys.

Nice guys. Very diverse and different. But they dont have a proper house and honestly don't know when they will get one.

Attended a Pi lambda phi info last sem . Oldest non sectarian frat. From what I saw very diverse and chill. But yeah they don't have a mansion like beta to make it big.

A fraternity is made of the guys in it. not the brick and cement house. It will be the bonds that last. Not the house.

True, but Pi Lambs are on a Large, Competitive Greek Campus in which being a "Housed" fraternity is a must in order to successfully compete with everyone else. UI is NOT a medium or small campus with a so-so Greek community. Looking at their National Website, it seems to me that most of Pi Lambda Phi chapters are on these second & third Tier campuses where the competition is not the great and housing is not needed. There is a big difference.

Pi lambda phi had their house in place of 75 armory apartments. It was pretty legit and had a lawn and a basketball court. Sadly torn down and sold off.
