spring rush

do i need to know people in top frats to rush the house, or can i just find their rush schedule and meet guys in it by rushing?
Also, how hard is it to get bids from the top houses? I'm thinking SAE, delts, sigep, acacia, sigs.

Sigs just want to see guys who care. Go around as much as possible and be social and get to know the rush chairs.
Pikes want you if you look like you were a high school football quarterback the last three years of your life.
Delts are pretty call but it's all about connections. Pretty difficult to get a bid from.
SAE is pretty competitive, want to bid guys based off of appearance and how fratty they are.
Not really sure about others... I got bids from delts and SAE but that was 2 years ago and I rushed all these places and have a few friends in each.

did you rush in the spring or fall? and when you rushed, did you know anyone from the houses you got bids from? which houses did you rush?
and what can you say about acacia?
