1. They make a huge university smaller.
2. When you come back in 15 years as an alum, what will you do - go visit your old dorm room?
3. Pretty much dominate the social scene of this campus, whether you think that is good or not it is true.
4. Some people find them to be a lot of fun. If you don't, that's cool, don't join. There is still a lot of other stuff to do at UofI.
