I'm sure you've heard it before that you shouldn't go through rush with your heart set on any one house. That's still true.

But anyways, rushing in general is different you're a sophomore. It's much more competitive (at least in my own experience). Add that to fact that rushing top houses are competitive... you get the picture. Some houses may only take a few sophomores, if any. Others take a lot. Ultimately if the girl loves you, she won't care that you're a sophomore. If they ask why you're rushing a year later, be sure to say that you are a transfer. Just try to keep the conversation going after that question, don't let her focus too much on the fact that you are older.

Thanks for your advice. Is it common for sophomores to rush? is it common for the good houses to take sophomores since im a transfer student i wont know anyone in any of the houses.

Perhaps just realize that all of our houses are very good regardless of what you read on greekrank. The top houses are great, but so are the ones that rank at the very bottom of greekrank. You make the house, it doesn't make you. I would suggest that if you want the greek affiliation for the rest of your life, you have one chance. Don't blow it because you think you're too good for a house. Love whichever house you get because they are the only ones that loved you enough to give you a bid.
