recruitment advice

by:

I know this is a little bit early, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or just things to keep in mind while going through recruitment! I understand how the actual recruitment process works but any other tips regarding it would be helpful. Thanks!

First of all, keep your options open! Don't make judgements based on gossip (like the opinions shared on greek rank). Second, be yourself! You want to end up in a house that the true you fits with, not one that you have pretended to fit in with. Also, drink lots of water. Seriously. The days are long and you need to keep your energy/health up! Good luck with recruitment!

Don't act like you think you're too good for certain houses. Keep an open mind.

So so so many girls drop 2nd and 3rd invite because they didn't get the house they wanted. I personally advise you to just go through with it, get a bid, get a feel for the house for a couple of weeks before initiation and if you really don't like it, feel free to drop. You've already paid the $50, why drop during recruitment? Go through with it and you might end up loving the house you didn't think you would. I got invited back to only 2 houses second invite and was so disheartened I almost dropped but I figured I already went through all of open house and first invite, I might as well just finish this. Even though the house I got a bid from wasn't my first choice, I ended up loving it and I honestly could not imagine myself in any other house and joining was the best decision I've ever made.

So many girls drop 2nd and 3rd invite cause they don't get invited back to houses they want and end up rushing again sophomore year. I strongly advise to see recruitment all the way till the end, even if it's not the house you wanted. You may find that you ended up loving the house like I did once you get a feel for it a few weeks in and of course if not, you can drop and re-rush the following year! Good luck!

Dont worry about tiers as much as where you'll find your home
