rush

I am a new freshman at uiuc and wanted to join a sorority. I was thinking of doing the spring rush since i want to get used to the college life first and then join a sorority. Do top houses like tri delta and delta gamma do the spring rush or any other sort of thing after the fall rush? I really don't wanna join a bottom tier sorority. Also is phi sig the new sorority that is bottom tier?

please don't join a house because of rank, that's just shallow. do fall rush and find a house that feels the most "you". or if you want to get used to college, rush sophomore year

I was just asking. No one really wants to pay that much and put so much effort and be in a bottom tier house. So spring rush is not a good idea?

well I'm sure a lot of people think this way and would join a top tier house if they could unless they are already in a bottom tier house.

Once you come to college, you'll learn. Not everyone wants to be in a top tier house. Also, it's a little strange that you're making judgements on chapters even though you haven't begun your time at the university.

Going through rush wanting any two houses or nothing is a disaster.
You will be surprised by the fact that ANY house can drop you.
Setting your sites on Delta Gamma or Delta Delta Delta as your only two says a lot about what is important to you. You haven't even met the sisters yet so you must be very shallow

Delta Gamma and Tri-Delt do not do spring rush! I would recommend rushing in the fall with everyone. You meet so many new people and that is the best time to do it especially if you are looking to be in a top house. Good luck with everything!
