spring rush
by: junoI am going to transfer to uiuc the second semester of my freshman year and I was thinking about going through spring rush since I will not be there for the Fall rush. how many houses go through spring rush ? do top houses have the spring rush? What are my chances of getting into a top house during spring rush?

Top houses normally don't go through spring rush. Houses that go through spring rush means they didn't meet quota for fall rush. Usually spring rush is pretty lowkey, as in it's not publicized. Normally girls who go through spring rush have been recommended by girls already in the chapter, or at least for my sorority. So unless you know someone, spring rush would be kinda difficult unless you knew people in houses.

Yes, you'd have a better chance at getting into a house you want as a sophomore. So I would just wait if I were you. I don't think you would be at a disadvantage or advantage if you're from out of the country. You'd have just as much of an equal chance as everyone else.

so would it be better if i wait and rush as a sophomore next year? and what do sororities think about people from other countries? I'm persian and moved to the USA to get some experience.
