Being an older student

Hi guys,
I know I posted this before but I’m
A 30 year old male student and I’m really worried about my age and being older. I want to make friends and have a social life, but can I do this at my age, I’m really scared. Can I go out to bars? I want to have a really good social life, how do I do this? Please advice, I currently have no one so I’m hoping for a better life here.

I'm sorry bro its just how it is. If you are really 30 years old its time to grow up, keep your eyes on the prize, get your degree, and move on. You don't need to be at bars with 18 year olds.

You’re probably the only 30 year old guy rushing. The second you step foot into a house and tell the guys “I’m 30” everyone is going to know exactly who you are and will immediately show you the door. You’ve ruined all your chances by posting like a desperate weirdo on this site

nice thing about UofI is that it's very big and very diverse, in the sense that there is something for everyone.
Visit as many tables as you can on Quad Day, walk around, talk to people. If you are 30 you should have learned how to start up a conversation by now. Also - do you have any interests or hobbies - if so there is probably a club for it. one. illinois. edu / club_ signup
Be yourself and you will find your people - whether it is in a frat or somewhere else.

I tend to not go to class and self study as I’m really lazy, what rsos? Wouldn’t they be all younger students? How do I find older grad students or clubs for older students? Can I go to bars?
