transferring sororities/college

For example, let’s say DG at your school is the lowest ranked house but then you transfer to UIUC where DG is top house, are you automatically in? What are the steps to that? I didn’t even know this was a thing lmao wtf

Once you’re a member of one house you can’t join another

They’re not asking that lol. They’re talking about transferring into their previous sorority at a new school 😭 Like going from bottom house to top house at a new school or vice versa

Yeah well since PHC doesn’t allow you to rush again after initiation, if you transfer and your new school has that house you likely just join them. I had a friend that pledged a sorority at one school but knew she would transfer schools pretty early on. She realized there was a HUGE difference in the chapters and her sisters advised her not to get initiated so she could join a different house at the new school that was more similar to them. I was a srat pres at UIUC a few years ago and one day our advisor basically just told me a new girl was transferring in. Most houses need more members and live ins so they will accept any transfer generally. The only way I see this NOT working would be if a house is already at their max amount of members they’re allowed. If you transfer and you DON’T want to join the new house, you just don’t contact anyone, but then you can’t rush again. If you do want to join the new house, you just tell your chapter advisor and she will get in touch with your new chapter advisor.
