Informal rush info

by: Transfer

When do girls get their bids? Will we be notified either way? This seems a bit disorganized.

If you think that is disorganized, look at fraternity rush - it is a total doodyshow.

Each house is different. Formal recruitment has specific deadlines. COB is different by house.

Most chapters have you participate in a few events and get to know multiple women, if you are interested and vice-versa the chapter would extend a bid. You gotta show interest and engage and the active members will too.

Each chapter is going to have a different schedule and process. That’s why it is called informal recruitment. It is not a structured and set schedule like formal or primary recruitment. I would suggest to attend another event or talk to the people you met at the chapter to get information about each specific process. Some might have requirements to have you attend multiple events or meet so many chapter members. Good luck, sounds like you’re on the right track!

Thank you. Do I need to reach out or do I wait for an invite to event?

OK I'd actually like to try to help this time.

Have you tried reaching out to FSA (Fraternity and Sorority Affairs) Go to their website, there should be contact info there. They are nice people, I believe they would give you a good response/advice.

Reach out to the chapter (like hit them up on IG or their socials) or FSL office like another person mentioned.

Personally, I’d reach back out directly to the chapter.
