Informal rush ???

Frustrated to see so many houses doing informal rush. I took a gamble and joined the house I had left at preference thinking informal bids would be rare. Are all the girls who dropped going to now have a second chance at almost all of the sororities? This does not seem fair and is making me second guess my decision to accept my bid. This experience as a whole was bad.

All the girls who dropped do have a second chance at any of the houses that are doing informal. You can drop before initiation and do informal next year.

Probably shouldn't complain on Greek rank and just take it up with your house there's not much we can do here however I sympathize with you

How selective is informal rush? Is it unlikely to get a bid?

This is going to sound lame since I dropped out of rush, but don't second guess your choice. Houses that didn't want you the first time aren't worth a second look. Be happy where you landed.

Also, just because the house is doing informal rush doesn't mean you have a better chance of getting in. I received an invite to informal rush on an email chain with 65 names on it. There is no way they are even serious about 65 PNMs. The house took quota and is just looking for about ten more new members.
