Rushing as a grad student

by: .

Hey guys

Can I rush a frat as a grad student? Im 29 from the military.

I don’t mind anything, I just want to make friends and have a good social life. I’ll be here for the next 4 years in my program.

Go to Quad Day, walk around and talk to the frats. That is the only way to get a good feel for the possibilities.

You are 29 and want to befriend a bunch of 18 year olds? Grow up.

Actually no, was hoping there’s still older people that rush or are in houses.

No there aren't many and if there are they are weirdos in bottom houses. Don't do it. You'll feel self conscious about it anywho

You can know if you go to Quad Day.

Also it is pretty weird to me that some of these people are incapable of having friends of various ages. I think most actual people are more open to the idea.

Hey if nothing else you can buy booze, so that alone will make you popular, lol.

Idk if you would be able to handle pledging at most of the houses here. They all are really intense and you’d probably get ptsd.

Fact is that most houses have a relatively mild and doable pledging. The only issue might be that it does take time to attend events and learn the required frat info (history, etc.)
