Greek life definitely feels like high school the first two or so years and then you’ll see that ppl will start to care so much less. Drop if u think it’s unbearable but it was at least worth it for me cause of all the parties, meeting new ppl etc.

Sad to say but yes it is still like high school. Some people can’t leave popularity behind and the need to feel important. There is a definite hierarchy within your pledge class and that usually remains. Very cliquey and mean.

A lot of girls regret joining a top tier srat after they realize they are not top in the organization.

The person above gave good advice to stick it out because no one cares after sophomore year and you will have made some friends.

However, this is the reason a lot of people actively choose to join more low-key frats and srats. If you are a girl, you will be invited to parties if you are cute and fun, no matter what house you are in. If you are a guy, if you have a personality you will have enough dates. And long-lasting friendships to boot.

You'll find problematic girls in every sorority and tbh in every dorm, apt, club, etc. You need to find your people and try to ignore the rest.

drop it! there are plenty of clubs and organizations that provide community and a sense of purpose. I recommend trying a community service org and making friends with other freshman so that you can end the school year feeling like you’ve found some good friends
