phi Delts are not higher than D chi. They do way to much stuff with Alpha Xi Delta and there pledge class sucks this year. there going down hil

I agree with Delphic that Phi Gamma Delta and Sigma Nu are up and coming, but I would add Kappa Delta Rho to that list.

Just looking at the distinctiveness or prestige of fraternity membership on a national level, the top 5 national fraternities are:

Sigma Chi
Beta Theta Pi
Sigma Nu
Phi Delta Theta
Sigma Alpha Epsilon

This considers, the longevity of the national organization (all founded in the 19th century), the status associated with the local chapters, quality of undergraduate programs (including networking and member development), number of alumni chapters, number of undergraduate chapters (all have over 110 chapters), national headquarters (all of them own and operate a large facility of their own,none are merely a floor in an office building) and the dollar amount of their national endowments.
