siblings in greek life

My older sister is in a bottom house but we are toootally different people. I was really vibing with top and upper middle houses but then some of them dropped me I think after I mentioned that I have a sister that also is in greek life. Did I get dropped bc I said that? Still ended up in a good house so its nbd but confused why I was dropped after I was sure I was in

Tbh it sucks, but a lot of times when chapters hear you are a legacy somewhere else (if you name the chapter or not), they are less likely to invite you back. They assume that you want to be in that house.
