I read that SAE doesn't have an official pledge program--they initiate people within 4 days of accepting a bid. So you could meet some guy for 30 seconds at a rush BBQ and then 4 days later he's a full-fledged brother. That's just very strange. I'm pretty sure any serial killer could get a bid and then act "normal" enough for the next 4 days...

All the guys fight each other, and some of them got arrested for fighting people in other frats. They think they are really great, but there are plenty of other frats that are top over this house. Just weird guys, and there is no other way to put it.

I go to Northwestern but met a few of the guys from here last weekend. We used to have social with the Northwestern chapter and I always thought they were a little creepy, no surprises when I found out their House was kicked off for horrible things done to girls. Needless to say, the guys I met in Champaign eerily reminded me of the NU ones.

Mostly North Shore kids in SAE, much of which facilitates their rep as a wealthy house. Have heard of a few instances were the guys were a bit rude, but otherwise have heard that they throw fun parties and have a solid brotherhood. Maybe not everyone's favorite house, but definitely deserving of lower-upper tier spot (right along with ATO)
