when should i rush?

I will be a sophomore in the fall and am considering rushing. How competitive is informal rush as far as how many girls get bids? should I wait for formal rush with the freshmen?

Not all sororities participate in informal so the choices are limited. Also the bigger sororities only take 5-7 girls for informal if they even have it. So it is more competitive. The smaller sororities give out more bids during informal so theirs is less competitive. I would say wait until spring, but know that sorority spring rush is absolutely horrible and takes up 2 entire weekends of your life. Informal is much more laid back and chill.

formal is rough but I did it and it was worth it to really get a good look at what each chapter is like. informal is pretty chill but can get really competitive depending on how many they take
