frustrated pnm
by: ??Not too sure if anyone is feeling the same but I hate the saying “trust the process” because this process is rigged. Unless you’re super skinny with at least a 3.0, you’re getting dropped left and right and you’re always stuck with that ONE sorority you don’t like. Is anyone feeling the same??

Yes the process is rigged. I hated when my recruitment counselors told me that, it made me think I would get a bid when in reality the same exact thing happened to me too. The whole computer process is really strange and I personally don’t understand why certain people get dropped over others. Obviously for the top tiers they drop people bc of looks but the nice girl sororities are tricky too. I’m sorry you feel this way <3

Well specifically for the GPA requirement, Panhell determines orders for greek sing, rooms for recruitment etc based on each chapters avg GPA so there is a lot of competition to not only have the best girls but the ones with the better gpa’s as well. It’s important for us to take girls with good GPA’s too because it shows you can handle your school work. A sorority is a massive time commitment and if you are already struggling with your grades, adding a sorority to your plate might be too much. And make your gpa go down. We do care a lot about gpa, and it’s just another way to make cuts.
