size and greek life discrimination

by:

Yes there has been countless of posts about this, but this is something that gets to me. Will sororities honestly judge you by your size? Case in point, there aren’t many curvy zetas or axid girls, and all of the “bottom tiers” get the curvier and more diverse girls (not that it’s a bad thing). Will I be voted against all because I’m a size 14/16? Really just curious!

All sororities are supposed to follow a values based or character based recruitment, although some chapters may ignore this. A majority ignore the chapters follow the plan so that girls going through recruitment are selected based on personalities and not size. And honestly who wants to be in a chapter who scrutinize you for your size and now how great of a person you are

I’ll be completely honest. Yes, some sororities will judge you based on your size and what you look like. But there are other sororities who don’t. It’s a mix.

To be completely honest, you will probably be dropped by zta, axid, phi mu, aphi, phi sig and aoii after open house round. They drop everyone else except skinny girls after like the first round. Please don’t let it discourage you, you are beautiful no matter what and you deserve a sorority that won’t judge you. Be yourself, make the most out of every conversation and make sure to talk about subjects other than your major, where you’re from, or your year. Talk about something meaningful, you will stick out in their heads and you will be invited back. goodluck :)
