You'll have a meeting every week, but other than that, there will be some weeks you might have two events and some you have none to attend. There will be some weeks you will be busy but for the most part you'll have time to do other things. I'm in a sorority and I went home every weekend last year with no issues.

Your first semester in is a little more hectic. Not sure how every sorority does it but you'll probably have a new member meeting once a week and a chapter meeting plus other things to do. I honestly wouldn't do it unless you want to make a decent time commitment to it because there's no point if you don't.
