^^^^I agree, but I really don't see any other solution, i know Zeta was on probation for a year if my memory serves...all i can think of is make these girls snap bid to make them not so much like cults of the same types of stereotypical girls and make their reps better by having them be more varied and unique...but like someone said before letting them participate in fall recruitment for some would not seem like a punishment seeing as DZ did take a fall class this year...but i really don't know what Dave Connor is going to do on this one...i heard all of the organizations have had their meetings? But this is all very hush hush so i don't know if we will ever find out

why don't you enlighten us "uninformed greeks"? if you have information that you think is so accurate...please share it with the class. I am in greek life and have been for a few years and like to think that i keep myself pretty informed. i don't like to spread rumors just information that is accurate

all three of these organizations have been known to haze for years. DZ and dphie's reputations have allowed them to still be able to recruit good classes (sometimes) but hazing has really hurt phi sig. Im glad something is finally being done. TCNJ greek life is so small and the student body is comprised of a lot of smart and confident people that hazing seems silly. Why would you want to break girls down? Just so they can bond by having a common enemy? that enemy being the older sisters who haze them. It is completely counterproductive and dysfunctional. Most of the organizations don't really haze. I think its time we can say none of us haze. We should all make friends by spending quality time together. Not being forced to stay in an attic, or go on scavenger hunts, or craft for older sisters. If a pledge class chooses to do any of these activities then fine but no ones mom should think their daughter is missing as a result of a pledge season...

I completely agree...girls go into recruitment knowing these stereotypes and are terrified of some of the organizations. They may really like the girls of DZ or Dphie but because of the stories some may be scared out of their minds to go through the pledge season! The common theme of bonding because only the strongest survive should not be even a thought in the sister's minds. I have personally seen friends go through pledge seasons and drop mid way because the sisters have been horrible to them and act like they don't even exist until they are initiated and then the girls are supposed to put everything behind them once they become official sisters and act like they all love each other. Which they may love the older sisters out of fear...i also am happy that someone brought this to Mr. Connor's attention because everyone has known about the horror stories of these organizations and that there was more truth to them than rumors. The entire point of joining greek life is to meet sisters and brothers and while yes sisters may treat eachother badly sometimes its not anywhere near the severity of the police getting involved. All of these organization's older sisters are great and to be honest I think they still carry out these activities because they had to go through them when they were pledging. It is a vicious cycle and it needs to be stopped...right now.
